On the historic main road through Franschhoek Valley, the Old Road Wine Co celebrate the winemaking heritage of South Africa's oldest wine region. Sourcing from a plethora of unique sites and old vines around the Western Cape, head winemaker Ryan Puttick crafts wines of excellent purity and freshness.
We are huge fans of the fresh, fruity charm of Cinsault and South Africa is home to some of the absolute best this grape has to offer. Packed with juicy strawberry, raspberry and cranberry fruit with some tomato leaf and floral hints. The tannins are light and soft and it finishes nice and fresh - it's definitely chillable! A red perfect for easy-drinking on its own, charcuterie boards and simple pasta dishes.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
